Training Room Rental in Dubai: A Checklist for HR and L&D Teams
Quick answer: book a training room in Dubai that gives every delegate a table and power, lets the back row read the screen, has a whiteboard the trainer can actually use, and handles breaks and lunch without eating into session time. Then confirm the trainer can get in early to set up.
Training days are long, and the room has more influence on learning than most people expect. Delegates who are cramped, cold or squinting at a small screen stop absorbing content by mid-morning. Use this checklist before you sign off a venue.
Space and layout
- Tables for everyone. Training means writing, laptops and workbooks. Theatre seating suits briefings, not training.
- U-shape for interaction. Up to around 16 delegates, a U-shape lets the trainer walk in and everyone see each other — ideal for workshops and soft-skills courses.
- Classroom rows for technical content. When the screen is the focus, rows facing forward work better.
- Room to move. Group exercises need space to stand, break out and use flipcharts.
Our training room in Dubai Investment Park is reset to your layout before you arrive and holds 16 in a U-shape or up to 25 in theatre style.
AV and teaching tools
- Projection readable from the back row — test it with your actual slides
- An interactive whiteboard or plenty of writing surface
- Charging at every seat, so laptops last the day
- Reliable internet for online tools, quizzes and video
- Room audio so the trainer's voice carries without strain
Comfort keeps people learning
Upholstered chairs, natural light and a controllable temperature matter over a five-day course. So do the breaks: a lounge corner, a kitchenette, clean washrooms and a prayer room let delegates reset properly and come back focused.
Catering that respects the schedule
Lunch that arrives late or happens in a distant restaurant costs you 30 minutes of training time a day. Prefer in-house catering served next to the room. Confirm dietary needs — halal, vegetarian and allergies — in advance. Hot drinks should be included all day.
Logistics for the trainer
- Access at least 30 minutes before the start
- A test of slides, videos and any online platforms
- Somewhere to store materials overnight on multi-day courses
- A named contact on site for problems
Running a certified course?
If your training leads to a certificate, confirm who issues it and how assessment works before you book the room. At ATI, each training course carries the certificate of the delivering partner, and you can either enrol your team on an existing programme or hire the room to run your own.
Training room checklist
- Tables, power and a clear view for every delegate
- Layout matched to the training style
- Projection and whiteboard tested with your materials
- Breaks space, kitchenette and prayer room nearby
- In-house catering with dietary options
- Free parking for delegates
- Early access for the trainer
How much space does each delegate need?
There is no single legal number, but a practical rule is simple: every delegate should be able to open a laptop and a workbook at the same time without touching their neighbour, and walk to the door without asking anyone to stand. If that is not true in the layout you are shown, the room is too small for training — even if it fits the headcount for a briefing.
Running training in your own room vs a hired room
Training in your own office is cheaper on paper, but delegates are interrupted by colleagues, emails and "quick questions". A hired training room signals that the day is protected time. It also gives you equipment and layouts your office meeting room may not have. For multi-day courses and anything leading to certification, the difference in attention is noticeable.
Measuring whether the room worked
Add two questions to your end-of-course feedback: "Could you see and hear everything clearly?" and "Were the breaks and refreshments adequate?". If scores drop, the room — not the trainer — may be the cause. Use the answers when you book next time.
Bring your own trainer, or use ours?
Around a third of our bookings are companies running their own programme in the room. Others enrol teams on certified programmes from our training partners in oil and gas, corrosion, inspection, laboratory management, leadership and sales. Both options are booked in the same place.
Frequently asked questions
Can we hire the room for a multi-day course?
Yes. Many courses run five consecutive days; book the days together so your setup stays in place.
Can remote delegates join the training?
Yes. Speaker-tracking cameras let remote delegates follow the trainer rather than watching a static wide shot.
